Terms of Service
Effective date: October 7, 2026 Version: 1.4
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of voicecal.app and the VoiceCal scheduling service (together, the "Service"), operated by VoiceCal LLC ("VoiceCal," "we," "us," or "our").
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
We've tried to write these in plain English. If anything is unclear, email support@voicecal.app.
1. Who can use VoiceCal
To use the Service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction (whichever is higher)
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
- Not be barred from using the Service under the laws of the United States or your country of residence
If you're using VoiceCal on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. What VoiceCal does
VoiceCal is a scheduling service that helps you manage your calendar by voice or text and coordinate meetings across timezones. The Service uses AI to parse your input into structured event data, and connects to your Google Calendar to act on your behalf. Features include:
- Events. Creating calendar events by voice or typed text, and editing, moving, and deleting events on your Google Calendar when you confirm the change.
- Add people. Adding guests to meetings you organize. Google Calendar emails them the invitation.
- Availability links. QuickAvail links share open time windows you choose. LiveAvail links let the people you send them to book a time on your calendar: a booking is written to your Google Calendar right away, without further approval from you, as long as the slot is still open. TeamAvail polls let a group vote on a meeting time; when you finalize one, the meeting goes on your Google Calendar and Google Calendar emails the participants.
- Reminders. Reminders you set by voice or text, delivered as push notifications on your device and, where your plan includes it, by email.
- Feedback. An in-app feedback box for reporting problems and sharing ideas with us.
Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what VoiceCal reads from and writes to your Google Calendar.
We may change, improve, or discontinue features at any time. We'll give you reasonable notice of material changes when we can.
3. Your account
To use most features, you sign in with your Google account or with your email address (using a password or a one-time code we email you). Connecting Google Calendar is a separate step. You're responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of the Google account or email account you use to sign in, and of your VoiceCal password if you set one
- All activity that occurs under your VoiceCal account
- Providing accurate information when you set up your account
If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately at support@voicecal.app.
You can remove any connected Google account at any time from Settings → Calendars. You can delete your account at any time by emailing privacy@voicecal.app. See our Privacy Policy for details on what happens to your data when you remove a Google account or delete your account.
4. Acceptable use
When using VoiceCal, you agree not to:
- Use the Service to send spam, unsolicited messages, or invitations to people who haven't consented to receive them
- Send invitations or notifications to people whose email addresses you don't have a legitimate reason to use
- Use the Service to harass, threaten, defame, or harm anyone
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any law
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its underlying systems
- Probe, scan, or test the security of the Service without our written permission
- Use automated tools (scrapers, bots, scripts) to access the Service in ways that exceed normal individual use
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service without our written permission
- Use the Service to build a competing product
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or the servers and networks that host it
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate anyone else
- Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or any other harmful code
We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of this section. See Section 9.
5. Invitations and people you contact through VoiceCal
VoiceCal lets you send calendar invitations, scheduling polls (TeamAvail), and availability shares to other people. You are responsible for ensuring you have a legitimate reason to contact each person you invite.
This means:
- The people you invite should reasonably expect to hear from you
- You won't use VoiceCal to send unsolicited bulk invitations
- You'll honor any request from a recipient to stop being contacted
If we receive complaints about your use of the Service to contact others, we may suspend your account.
6. Your content and our license to it
You retain ownership of all content you provide to VoiceCal — including the text you type or speak, the events you create, and the names and email addresses of people you invite ("Your Content").
You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, process, and transmit Your Content only for the purpose of providing and improving the Service for you. This includes:
- Sending Your Content to our AI providers (Anthropic, to parse it into event data, and OpenAI, to transcribe speech on some devices)
- Sending event details to Google Calendar to create and change events on your behalf
- Sending notification emails to people you invite
- Storing Your Content in our database so you can use the Service
We don't use Your Content to train AI models. We don't sell Your Content. We don't use Your Content for any purpose other than providing and improving the Service (for example, reading feedback you send us to fix problems).
This license ends when you delete the content or your account.
7. Our intellectual property
The Service — including the VoiceCal name, logo, software, design, and content (other than Your Content) — is owned by VoiceCal LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal or internal business purposes, subject to these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service or any of its content without our written permission.
8. Third-party services
VoiceCal integrates with third-party services, including Google Calendar, Google sign-in, Anthropic's AI API, OpenAI's speech-to-text API, and others described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms:
- Google Terms of Service
- Google API Services User Data Policy
- Anthropic Commercial Terms
- OpenAI Services Agreement
We're not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party services. If a third party suspends or revokes our access to their service, parts of VoiceCal may stop working.
9. Suspension and termination
You can stop using VoiceCal at any time. Remove your connected Google accounts from Settings → Calendars, or email privacy@voicecal.app to delete your account entirely.
We can suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms
- We're required to do so by law
- Your use of the Service creates legal or operational risk for us
- You haven't used the Service for an extended period and we're winding down inactive accounts
We'll generally give you notice and a chance to fix the problem before terminating, unless the violation is serious enough that immediate termination is warranted.
When your account ends, the licenses in Section 6 and Section 7 terminate. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14) will survive termination.
10. Service availability
We work hard to keep VoiceCal running, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, updates, third-party outages, or other reasons.
We don't offer a service-level agreement (SLA) for the free tier. We're not liable for any losses resulting from downtime, lost data, or service interruptions, except as required by law.
11. Disclaimers
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from a course of dealing or usage of trade.
We don't warrant that:
- The Service will meet your specific requirements
- The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- The results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable
- Any errors in the Service will be corrected
AI parsing has limits. VoiceCal uses AI to interpret what you say or type. The AI may misunderstand your intent. Always review parsed events before confirming them. We're not responsible for errors in events created based on AI parsing.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
We won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill — arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of:
- One hundred US dollars ($100), or
- The amount you've paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any non-waivable statutory consumer rights.
Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless VoiceCal LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third party's rights, including the privacy rights of people you contact through the Service
- Your Content
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The federal and state courts located in Hamilton County, Ohio have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Before filing a lawsuit, you agree to contact us at support@voicecal.app and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We'll do the same.
Severability and savings. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer-protection rights.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Effective date" at the top and post the new version at this URL. For material changes, we'll also notify you by email at the address associated with your account at least 14 days before the changes take effect, where reasonably possible.
Your continued use of the Service after the new Terms take effect means you accept them. If you don't agree to the new Terms, stop using the Service.
16. Miscellaneous
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and VoiceCal regarding the Service.
No waiver. If we don't enforce a provision of these Terms, that doesn't mean we've waived our right to enforce it later.
Assignment. You can't assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We can assign these Terms freely, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
No agency. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between you and VoiceCal.
Force majeure. We're not liable for failures or delays caused by events outside our reasonable control (including natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, government action, internet outages, or third-party service failures).
